Hawick's Annual Open Busking Festival

 

Teribuskers was started two years ago. Our aim was to get children involved in music, to show them it can be fun and very rewarding. It is also to enable musicians of all standards to come along and join in.

 


FRIDAY 11th

Concert in Wilton Church Hall - 7:30 p.m.

Featuring Local Artists (including Louise Douglas - winner of last years senior title). Plus Bar and special guest appearance of Scocha.

Tickets £4 (£3 conc.) on sale from Pearls Hairdressers and Bannerman & Burke Solicitors


SATURDAY 12th

OPEN FESTIVAL OF BUSKING
11:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.

OPTIONAL OPEN COMPETITION SECTION (FREE ENTRY)

Competitors must register beteen 10:00 a.m. ~ 12:30 p.m. at the Horse.

Prizes:

  • Senior (16+) - William Spence Memorial Trophy
  • Junior (under 16) - Richard Common School of Music Trophy
  • Various Cash Prizes

Judging from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m.

Prizegiving in Melgund Bar at 5:00 p.m.

  • Drumlanrig Bar
  • Square One (in Howgate)

SUNDAY

Stroll in the Park to Busker's Music

Muster at Wilton Park gates at 1:00 p.m. to march up the Avenue, following Hawick Scouts & Fellowship Pipe Band.

Official launch at the Museum then :-

1:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m. at Wilton Lodge Park, all musicians invited to play.
